I am trying to update my web site certificate. Have been doing this for many years now.
When trying to access after starting admin server I am getting "This site can't be reached" Refused to connect

http://10.x.x.x:2001

I am in Chrome, but doesn't seem to matter what browser.
I do this once every two years so maybe doing something dumb or not doing something smart.

And Ideas?
Thanks
Dean Hoffman

Subject: Re: New IBM Navigator for i

ACS does not replace iNav nor does the new Nav replace ACS. They are very complimentary products. As Vern mentioned ACS even links to Nav for i.

Navigator for i is a web interface that enables admins to do most routine tasks through the browser. Given that it is a more 'normal'
interface for newer users it's easier to train. Add in that you can size your browser window to see massively more data at once that's a bonus.
Then think about the customization of each panel, adding or removing columns, changing their width or horizontal location. You can sort very quickly on any column ascending or descending with a simple click and you can filter any column, just start typing in the filter and it filters on the fly. This is a massive productivity improvement for the admin.

One of my favorite things is displaying joblogs in Nav for i. The ability to search and sort is phenomena!

Sure some functions overlap for example you can spooled files in both interfaces. Both allow those spooled files to be viewed and downloaded in pdf format.

Some things are one interface only. For example Nav for i allows displaying performance graphs and monitors which ACS cannot. ACS can provide a console interface to your IBM i partitions which ACS cannot.

But overall as an admin the two tools both belong in the toolbox as you will use each of them every day. I know I do!!

So, do I want to run them both on my desktop? I thought acs replaced
iNav...is that not correct? What do you folks do...remove Nav and
only use acs or what?

Massively updated iNav. ACS has a new version out as well.

The new Navigator has some areas that need to be added that are not
in the first release but I remind folks that it took awhile for
Navigator for i to catch up to and surpass the iSeries Navigator client too.

Is the new navigator for i the same as acs or an updated iNav?

I just put on the new group.
Pointed my browser to http://myibmi:2001 like I've always done and
got the new setup.
