Why not just insert x'1800'?
INSERT INTO tclibp.odbcfunc VALUES(6144, x'1800', 'Prepare');

Subject: SQL insert values with hex data
Hi,
Created a table like:
CREATE OR REPLACE TABLE tclibp.odbcfunc (Intfunc smallint, hexfunc char( 2
), txtfunc CHAR(50));
Then I would like to insert values:
INSERT INTO tclibp.odbcfunc VALUES(6144, (hexvalue of 6144 = x'1800',
'Prepare');
How do I convert 6144 to char( 2 )?
Tried HEX and Convert - but so far no joy..
Thanks!
