Super simple.

We do it in Python.

All you have to do is open an .xml file and if it is invalid xml you get an error which you can trap and send back to CL or do something else.

In our case we are picking up thousands of .xml files so we pick up a batch, check each file, move bad .xml files to a "hold" folder, send a text message and continue on.
