Finally, I resolved to code a procedure using C APIs suggested by Jon, and
yes! it works fine. I can share my example if needed.

Only, I can't have it running from a different user profile than the owner
of QNTC connection. I will further investigate the swap profile API.

You don't mention trying the C directory functions opendir, readir,

etc.

That to me would be far the easiest approach.
