iseries and would it be possible that a biz partner we transmit back and
forth would be using one of the disabled versions…Is there anyway to tell
what the business partner is using?

Just passing along,

With this group, TLSv1.0 and TLSv1.1 protocols have been disabled.

Just a few lines:

Problem

After updating to the latest IBM i Java Group PTF level, a

"javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: No appropriate protocol (protocol

is disabled or cipher suites are inappropriate)" error message occurs

when using the TLSv1.0 and/or TLSv1.1 protocols. This is because the

TLSv1.0 and TLSv1.1 protocols have been disabled for use with IBM JDK

8.0, 7.1, and 7.0 on the IBM i OS.
