Here's a sample of what I was thinking if you really want SNDPGMMSG. Haven't written a CL program for a few weeks so thought this might be interesting.

Could be altered to write the log to a physical files, IFS file, etc. as desired.

Or even a small RPG program to accept the message data and write to a database table.

Or what about setting the message into an output variable or parm.
