Probably not the case here but do know that for Image Catalogs all images in a catalog that is mounted in a virtual drive are flaged as *NO. This prevents a loop where the system is saving to that catalog making it bigger thus requiring more space to save thus making it bigger thus requiring more space ... :-)

When the catalog is unmounted the images revert to their previous setting, which may still be *NO of course.

Ok, I thought it may be that. Thanks!

Any idea what sets this when the file is created, or where the default is
for that? The directory is set to be saved, but I see there are some files
that aren't.

Subject: ALWSAV attribute

I have a customer who is getting job logs in the thousands of pages and
they're all filled with:

CPD37C3
Message . . . . : Cannot save

/www/clerkweb/htdocs/images/redcache/tiffs/4AAAKKYD.054.tiff.

Cause . . . . . : The ALWSAV
attribute on

/www/clerkweb/htdocs/images/redcache/tiffs/4AAAKKYD.054.tiff was set to
*NO
preventing the object from being
saved. Recovery . . . : If the object is
not needed for recovery purposes,
no recovery is necessary. If the object
is needed for recovery purposes,
change the ALWSAV attribute to *YES and try
the request again.

Is there a way to display this attribute on a directory or file? And what
is the default for when this is set?
