I know I am going to ask a silly question, but I couldn't solve it by
myself.
We produce PDF files (via cpysplf as PDF or external tools) and save them
on IFS, then we need to print them later from an RPG program to a remote
output queue (*LAN printer device).
Years ago, I am pretty sure I solved the same issue on my previous job by
using SK prtstmf command at V7R3, but in the current position on a V7R4
system I can't find any viable way to do it.
I tried both SK command and FTP as suggested by IBM, and tried many
different printer device configurations for an HP laser printer and a RICOH
Aficio printer.
Non PDF spool files are printed fine, but when it comes to PDF I only get
pages and pages of garbage.
At this point, I read all IBM technical pages I could find on the subject
and the old Midrange threads with no new clue.
Does any of you have any suggestion to make me have PDF print from IFS
without having to buy other software?
Thank you all for any ideas.
Have a great day
Lucia
