Hi everyone
We are on V7r3
We have a character field length of 10, where the contents are left justified ABC ABCD ABCDE BCD BCDE BCDEF If this field is sorted, they will appear in the order as above The user needs these sorted as if the field was right justified/aligned so that the sort order becomes
ABC
BCD
ABCD
BCDE
ABCDE
BCDEF
Where the value in the field is preceded by however many spaces are needed Is there a relatively easy way of doing this - in SQL?
As always - all responses gratefully accepted
