I've not seen an instance where ACS locks up while paging.
Normally when I see a session locking while paging it is because the Program is locking each subfile record and multiple users are using the system locking each other out.


I have seen where ACS has issues establishing a new session. Where the session locks when I try to log in.
Usually it just hangs there and never gets logged in.
Sometimes if I run "system-request 2- End previous request" the job will continue and get to the logged in session.
Other times I have to end the session and I get the "Restart Previous Session" screen with the end or attempt to continue.
There are no job log errors and the job appears to be stuck at an IBM instruction.

A few times a week I will come in and try sign on to a session that was signed
off the night before and key in User Profile and Password, hit enter and
nothing appears to happen. So I close the session and restart it. When I sign
on to that session, I get notice to either Attempt to restart previous session
or Sign it Off. I usually just chose to sign it off and then sign on again. Once or
twice it has happened while I was working in program but usually after the
session sets unused for a little while like over night.
