. IBM i PTF Download migration to FTPS

I'm unfortunately on a V7R2 box. I set up the Ca.Cer digital certificates for this about a month ago.

If I had to download CUME's / HiPERSs, Groups etc, I'd order the PTF's and hopefully I'd get the
Site where I can download using via FileZilla to a folder on my desktop. Then FTP the ".bin' files
to the IFS, to an image catalog and go from there.

Since I haven't tried to order, I wonder if that'll still work?

It has in fact come to pass. You do get three emails now the second has server, user, directory and file information, and the third email has the password.

Reminder to use secopen rather than open in any ftp scripts.

It fails on i 7.1. I rather expect it worn't work from i 7.2 either due to missing ciphers. It does work on i 7.3.

Be sure to follow the instructions here to trust the IBM certificate.
