Yes, Windows firewall, sorry.

The user passed as a parm is defined on both the IBM i and the Windows server and the password is the same on both systems.

When we have had problems it has been with authorities on the Windows server.  Having the user in the Admin group wasn't enough.  We have had to explicitly give authority to each folder needed by the scripts.

It's been a while since we have been through that but that's how I remember it.

Bobby

Are you referring to Windows Firewall? I'm not sure that is running but will check.

User and password get passed as parms in RunRmtCmd so I'm not sure what you're referring to.

User supposedly has full admin rights on that server.

Subject: Re: Client Access RunRmtCmd - Windows Server 2012

We are running it on 2012R2.  A couple of things to keep in mind.  Make
sure cwbrxd.exe is allowed through the firewall, the user and password
are the same on the IBM i and the Windows server, and check permissions
on the Windows server for that user.

Hope that helps.

Bobby

I know we need to move to OpenSSH for this, but I need to buy some time - a LOT of programs to modify to get there.

We have to replace an older server with 2012R2. Client Access has been installed and the incoming service is active.

Every time I try to run a command or BAT file, I get this response in a spool file:
"The remote command has produced no output."

Redirecting output to a file on the server proves the task is not being executed.

Has anyone here successfully implemented RunRmtCmd on Server 2012R2?

Thanks.
