Subject: How do I create a new file from an SQL query on an existing file?

How do I create a new file from an SQL query on an existing PF, in a
STRSQL session?

I tried, as an experiment,
CREATE TABLE QTEMP/FOO AS (SELECT . . .
and I got
Token <END-OF-STATEMENT> was not valid. Valid tokens: DATA WITH
DEFINITION.

As another experiment, I tried
SELECT HAM, EGGS, SPAM INTO QTEMP/FOO FROM . . .
and I got
SQL statement not allowed.

What am I missing?
