In the past, QNTC had problems if a share name existed on the windows
server more than 12(?) characters long ...

Also, used to be QNTC would attempt to find available servers on the
network, which could take a while.
IBM added the QIBM_ZLC_NO_BROWSE setting to prevent this.
https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/i/7.4?topic=qntc-environment-variables

But that meant during an IPL you'd have to CRTDIR to re-create the QNTC
subdirectories for each server you wanted to connect to.

I am trying to copy images from a remote windows server using QNTC.
The process worked yesterday and nothing has changed on the remote windows
server or our i.
Yet when I try to drill into the server via QNTC, it just locks up.
I had the remote windows server re-booted. Last time we IPL'ed was
Wednesday morning.
The remote IT person can drill into the windows server via file explorer
and see images.

We have a common account with the same credentials on our I and the image
server.
But it does not matter if I sign on with the user who has authority or one
who has no authority to the image server.
Just sits there. Have to end up doing a ENDJOBABN to clear the job out.
