Can you ping the machine and or the default gateway. If not sounds like a
network issue. You didn't mention if you can currently connect or not with
5250.

Hello all,

In these days of remote work, I'm trying to set up a printer at home as an
output queue on the i. When I'm not connected to our VPN, the printer will
connect wirelessly, showing me an IP address and everything. I can type
the IP in my browser and see the printer's settings instantly. At this
point I thought, "great, I can just set it up as a remote output queue with
the IP address". As soon as I connect to our VPN, I can't reach the
printer. What I'd like to be able to do is print any report, including AFP
documents, from the I to this printer, but I can't seem to get it to talk
to the system. It's an HP Color LaserJet MFP M477fnw printer. Anyone out
there with any experience with this set of circumstances? The printer has
a USB port so I can connect that way if I absolutely have to, but I'm
curious if there's a way to do it wirelessly. Any info is as always
appreciated.
