Occasionally I need to paste more text into a 5250 commmad line than
will fit on the current line. The entry field (e.g. standard menu CLI)
wraps to a new line so there is plenty of total space just not on one
line. The issue is HOW the wrap occurs. Effectively it pasts into a box.
Thus it looks this way:
===> Text_is_pasted_here_but_when_it_rolls_over_to_the_next_line_on_t
_____he_screen_it_leaves_a_blank._Here_it_broke_the_into_t______he.
I have figured out how to get it to stop at the end of the first line.
Not useful.
What I can't figure out is how to get it to paste as DeadNav and the old
emulator did where it would come out like this:
===> Text_is_pasted_here_but_and_when_it_rolls_over_to_the_next_lin
e_all_looks_good._No_break_in_the_text_and_all_space_is_used.
Does anyone know the secret combination to enable the use of the entire
field and not paste into a 'box'?
