our menu system has a CL program that runs when a user returns back to the
menu, after executing a menu option (and after performing the EXFMT of
menu). I guess it would be more accurate to say this program runs BEFORE
the next menu option is ran. In the program we do a reset of LIBL, chgjob
sws(000000000), and then we do a RMVMSG PGMQ(*PRV) CLEAR(*ALL).

I think that is done, because we have a message file at bottom of menu
screen to show some status or custom error messages from the previously ran
programs, but showing superfluous messages when the RMVMSG was not ran.

so, by having the RMVMSG, we are missing large chunks of the users job
log, but I can't remove the RMVMSG command till I can replicate the clean
up behavior for the message subfile.

does anybody else have this problem? and how have you handled this?
