I used this method. Seemed quick and painless. Might not be the best resolution though ...
Using ACS SQL:
Step 1 - uncomment the "cl:" stmt and run it.
--- cl: DSPOBJD OBJ(*all/*ALL) OBJTYPE(*QRYDFN) OUTPUT(*OUTFILE) OUTFILE(abclib/x);
Step 2 - comment out the "cl:" stmt.
- uncomment the "select" stmt and run it.
--- select * from abclib.x
