We wrote a program-- TRMUSR-- we included things like un-enrolling profiles in application security files, assigning all owned objects to a 'garbage collector' profile (part of the dltusrprf), and a DLTUSRPRF.

Letting a program clean up all of the application security files and any stray things we can stuff in the program makes this the best solution.

It was written to allow you to key in user profiles one after the other and stuff them into a MSGQ. When you exit the program, it loops through the MSGQ and deletes all of the profiles.

Main issue-- we had many profiles set up with eMail from the iSeries-- Interactively, you get a message on the screen (if there are unanswered emails) asking what to do with any leftover mail. In batch, it just dies a gruesome death.

It's not perfect-- sometimes no matter what we do we still have to delete the profile by hand. It's infrequent enough that we haven't dug into it.
