You cannot.

It will be set either to one or the other.

Best option then is to endtcpsvr *SMTP, make change, strtcpsvr *SMTP, test, endtcpsvr *SMTP, change it back, strtcpsvr *SMTP.

That is what I thought. I do see those parms FWDHUBSVR and MAILROUTER.
My next question, that they have asked me.
We want to leave everything alone but run a test that the new target will
work.
In other words, have the old and the new and test the new. Sort of issue
the SndSmtpEMM and select what version of FWDHUBSVR and MAILROUTER. to use.
I do not see that we can do that.

It's on CHGSMTPA. It just makes you press enter to get farther. Perhaps
you could try F9 if that scares you?
CHGSMTPA FWDHUBSVR('yaddayadda.com')

When using the SndSmtpEMM command how does it know what mail server to send
the email to?
I am looking at the following ChgSmtpa, WrkNamSmtp, WrkDirE and CfgTcp.
I am thinking it is using the ChgSmtpa.
We are changing our email server and need/want to test and make sure it is
working properly.
