What's the difference between UDFS and NFS?

The following file-systems are supported for the image catalog directory:
"root" (/)
QOpenSys
Mounted user-defined file system (UDFS)
QOPT when the volume is initialized as a container.
The root directory of a UDFS is not supported for the image catalog directory.
