I upgraded the firmware using the BMC.
There are two parts(tabs) on the BMC Maintenance tab for firmware update.
BMC update.
PNOR update.
Both updates were downloaded via Fix Central, stored locally.
Each of the updates have a browse tab to find and select the update from any local storage.

Entire process went quickly and smooth, no issues.

Its been a while but I recall downloading the HMC code to an IFS directory and then having the HMC “point” to that directory.

Faster since it local network access. I recall using either FTP or NFS from the HMC.

I have the doc for updating HMC 7063-CR1 firmware via BMC.

My question is does it have to be copied to the USB drive (which requires a trip to the DC), or can this be done somehow remotely?

Thank You
