After the initial prompt of the CHGSMTPA command, you have to press enter once to see all of the parameter settings.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for the reply...

RE: Configuring SMTP:

A few more steps you have done, please. For example did you:
CHGSMTPA FWDHUBSVR(yourispforwardingnamehere)

I don't have FWDHUBSVR when I prompt CHGSMTPA.

Did you ensure they allow you to relay from your IBM i address?

I don't know how to ensure they allow me to relay from
my address. In the past I have sent an email and if I get
it back with an error saying relaying not allowed that
gives me the answer.

Thanks,

Gary Kuznitz

I have been trying to get the i5 to send an email. I have
followed many links on the internet suggesting how to
configure SMTP. I can't get it to send an email
successfully. After configuring everything I have started
and stopped the servers.
ENDMSF OPTION(*IMMED)
ENDTCPSVR SERVER(*SMTP)
STRTCPSVR SERVER(*SMTP)
STRMSF

I'm trying to send out via my ISP's email SMTP's server.
I do not want to receive any email on the i5.

Is there anyone that can help me get this configured
correctly?

Thank you,

Gary Kuznitz
