There is no "instead". `itoolkit` needs some way to connect to Db2,
whether running in PASE or Windows. I happen to use ODBC (via
`pyodbc`) in both cases, but there are other alternatives. Once you've
established your `itoolkit` session, the code is once again the same
for PASE and Windows.
