The iASP D5 was created in the back-up, but when I tried to vary on the
production copy I got this message:

ID de mensaje . . . . : CPDB8E2 Gravedad . . . . . . . : 20

Tipo de mensaje . . . : Diagnóstico

Fecha envío . . . . . : 17/10/20 Hora envío . . . . . . :
16:53:20

Mensaje . . . .

deben
descartarse.

Using STRSST in the back-up machine I found:
Reclamar almacenamiento de caché de IOA

Seleccione el adaptador de E/S para reclamar almacenamiento de caché de
IOA.

ATENCIÓN: Continúe con la función solo si se le indica desde un
procedimiento
de servicio. Los datos de la caché del IOA quedarán descartados.

Puede que se dañen algunos objetos del sistema.

Teclee elección, pulse Intro.

1=Reclamar almacenamiento de caché de IOA

The back-up machine had recently degraded disk, and IBM technician changed
a piece, maybe they left something "hanging"
I will try an IPL, if I still have the same problem I plan to ignore the
warning and see what happens.

All steps were working ok until the CRGGEOMIR, today I tried again and it
requested to select the disks for the copy, I understand setting up the

About this kind of problems we have a saing: "Se fue sin que lo echen,
volverá sin que lo llamen"
In french: "Il est parti sans être expulsé, il reviendra sans être
appelé"
The copy is in 2%...

It is maybe in the process to synchronize the copy descriptions, e.g.
the initial copy. Ususally it is done during the following IASP vary on.
You should have messages in your joblog or in QSYSOPR message queue that
give you this information.

Thank you for the manuals, I have them open in my desk, but I was
wondering
if I have missed some important step.
I also have the red book "System mirror for IBM i" it is a little old
(2012)
Yes, 8 years, no 9 years in fact... I can remember just if it was a
couple of months ago (look at the authors of this redbook) !
I have already started inetd, I have the iASP in the production machine,
not in the back-up.
Already tried in the web interface, and now I am following the steps from
the red book:

Example 12-1 CL commands used for similar geographic mirroring setup
CRTDEVASP DEVD(IASP1) RSRCNAME(IASP1)
ADDDEVDMNE CLUSTER(PWRHA_CLU) DEVDMN(PWRHA_DMN) NODE(DEMOGEO1)
ADDDEVDMNE CLUSTER(PWRHA_CLU) DEVDMN(PWRHA_DMN) NODE(DEMOGEO2)
CRTCRG CLUSTER(PWRHA_CLU) CRG(PWRHA_CRG) CRGTYPE(*DEV) EXITPGM(*NONE)
USRPRF(*NONE)
RCYDMN((DEMOGEO1 *PRIMARY *LAST SITE1 ('192.170.86.11'
'192.170.87.11'))
(DEMOGEO2 *BACKUP 1 SITE2 ('192.170.86.10' '192.170.87.10')))
CFGOBJ((IASP1 *DEVD *ONLINE '10.0.0.1')) FLVMSGQ(QSYS/QSYSOPR)
FLVWAITTIM(*NOMAX) FLVDFTACN(*CANCEL)
CFGGEOMIR ASPDEV(IASP2) ACTION(*CREATE) SRCSITE(SITE1) TGTSITE(SITE2)
SSN(SSN1CPYD2/SSN1CPYD1/ASPGEOSSN1)DELIVERY(*ASYNC) UNITS(DD021)
CLUSTER(PWRHA_CLU)
CRG(PWRHA_CRG) MODE(*ASYNC)
STRCRG CLUSTER(PWRHA_CLU) CRG(PWRHA_CRG)

If all setup is correct, the CRG will remain ineligible until the
initial synchronization completion. You can monitor the progress of the
copy with DSPASPSSN command.
