...you can add "OVERRIDING SYSTEM VALUE" to the insert if you want to preserve the IDs of the original rows being copied in.

We are having an issue where a table with a SQL identity value isn't
updating. The HA vendor doesn't know much about those values.
I'm guessing there is an object somewhere that has to be updated as well?
