cURL Open source installation

I got the licensed programs and open source generally setup so I can use
ibm iACS open source tool.

I chose to install cURL, but when I try to run a command I get
qsh: 001-0019 Error found searching for command curl. No such path or
directory

Are there any pre-req's needed?

This is a new to me system. I've got this working on other systems but I'm
not sure if I missed a step. I don't have an environment variable
