Got a little further (I thought). On the General tab for ldap administration. There is an option for
Administrator information
Administrator name:
And that is set to cn=Administrator. It has an option to set the password. So I set a password. The contents and the date changed of /QIBM/UserData/OS400/DirSrv/IDSWebApp/console_passwd did not change. I tried Server Administration again and logged in as Administrator and this new password. A couple of times. Apparently too many times. Now I am getting:
User has reached to maximum number of failed login attempts.
Delete ids_acc.lck file and try login again. The ids_acc.lck file can be found in <WAS_Home>/profiles/<PROFILE_Name&> directory.

So where is ids_acc.lck? Or help me out by informing me what <WAS_HOME> translates to (generally).
