I dont believe that is the problem as nothing is showing in the bottom bar either, the one that you can choose as to what is being displayed
However - I know I don't know everything - so let me go looking for that settings file
Saying that - what exactly am I looking for?

Window probably just disappeared. Edit the settings file that describes size and position of window on next startup. Little Java window appearing but offscreen or too small to see ;)
