There are only a couple of function keys. There is no entry field.

I do not know exactly how it works, but if I understand fine the Application Display Programming (https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/ssw_ibm_i_72/rzahg/rzahgapdlprint.htm chapter 12) the data queue is populated by the user interactions.

I will try to find the source if I have some time.
