Thanks Marc,

I understand your concept but where is it being used ?

What I mean - is this going to a wall board or something that then
highlights the error/issue rather than to a single PC 5250 session for a
single user ?

If a single 5250 session then this is for the IT Manager to monitor ? or ?

Appreciate your reply.

Cheers

Don

I had to prompt the crtdspf command to see the data queue parameter -

Has anyone actually ever used this in production ?

Just can't think of a use case at the moment but I am sure there are
many
- perhaps a way to monitor a batch job ?

A use case is : display the content of a database file in LIFO order
with an automatic update when a new record is written

This database file contains alerts received from several systems.

The process used to receive the alerts and populate the database file is
also responsible to send an entry to the data-queue each time it writes
a new record.

Interested in any experiences from the group.

Cheers

Don
