Hi,

We are currently running a System S814 (8286-41A) based on POWER8(r) processor-based technology.

In our system we have three LPARS.

The Host Partition running IBM i Operating System V7R1M0.

Two Guest Partitions running IBM i Operating System V7R3M0.

Question: Can we upgrade one of the GUEST Partitions to V7R4M0 without upgrading the Host Partition?

If not, what is the minimum release required for the Host Partition to support the guest on V7R4M0?

Thanks very much,

Jaime Sala
