That sounds backwards. Private keys are always held by the side making the connection. Public keys go to the host you are connecting to.

Just so I can test, is this correct? You have a connection where you have use secure communications methods, and you are setting up SSH for the debugger?

My guess is that for Ubuntu, the key would go in the same location as on IBMi ($HOME/.ssh). I'll try that when I can, and see what happens.

Is it not the private key that goes on the client machine? The public key stays on the server?

Let me know if I have that wrong, but I think the private keys goes into RDi.
