I hated the page up/down keys on my new laptop (Lenovo) as they were in a
different place to where they were on the old laptop.
Time heals these habits but yes frustrating to start with.
Simple solution - use an external keyboard.
As for check before you buy you should be able to view the keyboard layout
on the web for any branded laptop - I just checked Lenovo and can view the
keyboards when i select a laptop.
Cheers

Subject: Laptop touchpad / keyboard layout issues
Sent by: "MIDRANGE-L" <midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
I know probably not the proper list.
My laptop went.
Temporarily using a DELL Latitude 3500.
Having trouble getting use to the touchpad, its one large area, not the
easiest to use.
Old HP laptop had a touch pad area and left/right buttons.
Keyboard layout.
Page Up/Page Down are third and fourth from top right edge, cumbersome to
use.
Old lap top Page Up/Page Down was first and second from top right edge.
I'm searching for new laptop, and now that I'm using this DELL, I'm
wondering if there might be a better choice.
Do any of the newer laptops still have the left/right buttons in addition
to the touchpad.
Is there a way to see/view the keyboard layout prior to purchase
Any thoughts / experiences from the group.
Thank You
