When telnet-ing from one IBM i system to another, is there a way on the 2nd system to know what workstation the request came from on the 1st system? I was hoping to pass a parm w/ the WSID but apparently that's not possible. I thought about FTP-ing a tiny file with the WSID, but that's not feasible since I could have a dozen users telnet-ing at the same time, with no way to distinguish which tiny file is associated with which session.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
