From these two pages, I conclude that if the P7 will run Debian 8 (jessie)
powerpc, then yes. Otherwise, no.
It's clearly not being currently maintained.

Those hat are the pages I was searching for, because that was what I remembered. I don't know why I did not find these yesterday.
