The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

I finally found the issue with this. It turns out that the problem was the colon at the end of the url, "user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:"
Once I changed it to "user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" the command was successful.
