That did the trick. When the activation group ended, the spooled files were closed. Thank you

You could reclaim the activation group that the service program is running in.
Aside from that, I can't see anything you could do. (And, if you could... you'd likely screw up the service program, since you'd be closing a file that it expects is open.)
