Steve, looking though this have you looked at the bootstrap.sh file to see
what it does behind the scenes, have you looked in the /tmp directory for
any possible log file. Also, since this starts with SSH, do you have any
issues related to SSH possibly. Another item that comes to mind, this
appears to run several commands. If you signed on with the profile that
your attempting to run the .sh with and mimic'd some of the commands from
QSH what are those results.

open source environment is not installing on the system - how to
troubleshoot?

following the steps in this document:

https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/getting-started-open-source-package-management-ibm-i-acs

from access client solutions - tools menu. Using the open source package
management option. Login to SSH. Get prompt saying "open source
environment" not installed. Click yes, and it runs for a while. Then a
"command completed" message.
another window has messages:
clear;exec /tmp/bootstrap.sh
$ /tmp/bootstrap.sh[42]: BOOTSTRAPPED: parameter not set
Bootstrap succeeded

but nothing is installed.

also tried to install open source without ACS. copies the bootstrap files
to /tmp. Then ran
QSH CMD('touch -C 819 /tmp/bootstrap.log; /QOpenSys/usr/bin/ksh
/tmp/bootstrap.sh > /tmp/bootstrap.log 2>&1')

that command ended immediately with return code 1. No other messages.

are there any error, completion messages I can look at?
