Hi Brian,
you can use the "FINAL TABLE" ... something like:

// Get the ID the new record my MYTABLE
exec sql
select id into :LastID from final table (
insert into MYTABLE
(FIELD1, FIELD2))
values(:VAL1, :VAL2)
);
