Subject: Removing host table entries
Sent by: "MIDRANGE-L" <midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

Question:

In the host table on our main box, I currently have 127.0.0.1 listed
(domain name changed to protect the innocent) as:
LOOPBACK
LOCALHOST
foo.bar.com

Is there a way to get rid of the last name associated with 127.0.0.1? If
I blank it out, it goes to "*SAME," and it comes back.

Understandably, I'm very cautious about getting rid of the host table
entry for 127.0.0.1, in order to start that entry from scratch.
