Hi guys,
I have found this APAR which appears to apply:
MA48087 - OSP-OTHER-MSGMCH3601 APPLICATIONS MAY FAIL IN A VARIETY OF WAYS
WITH MSGMCH1202 AND MSGMCH3601 FROM VARIOUS PROGRAMS.

Interesting that it would appear that pointer tag bits have been lost,
hence both C2M1212 (trying to free memory based on a pointer) and MCH3601
(pointer not set) as the symptoms.

Ours were proceeded with pointer not set messages, but I don't remember
the exact message id.

Kevin,
Did you also have C2M1212 in your joblogs following your MCH3601?

After the first of the year I started getting seemingly random MCH3601's.
Didn't open a ticket with IBM, but while working on running it down, we
ended up installing the current hiper and they stopped. That PTF was in
what was installed.

Opened ticket with IBM.
The latest cume introduced the possibility of a problem that can impact
applications. Please see APAR MA48087:
