I do the same.

For me the only real downside is that (apparently because gmail is my email host) I don't see my own postings - so I have to look for the confirmation receipt to be sure my responses are posted.

Instead of using a news reader, or getting email in Digest mode, I just have it come in individually as email. I have it set up to go into a special folder. I find it the most timely and it's easy for me to reply to the right one. With digest mode you may end up having to change the subject line and it may get busted out to a different thread in the archives at https://archive.midrange.com/

Subject: How do you follow midrange.com?

CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe.

I use Mozilla Thunderbird through news.gmane.io. It used to be
news.gmane.org and it was unavailable for a few days recently*.

Is there is some easier, or better, or more long term stable way to
follow and reply on midrange.com? What software do you use?

Sam
