I have an old AS/400 Model 9406-170

I thought it had a dead disk.

The reason I am doing this is to help out a colleague.

I have IPL's using D M with a V5R3 LIC

I have access to DST - from DST it is reporting all IOP's and Disks as
Operational

I have tried to clear the IO Cache which fails and when I use 5=Details on
the failure I am returned to the main DST menu.

If I take the option to work with disks and the initialise a disk the
disks show as unconfigured.

I seem to be going in circles.

Any suggestions how I can determine if the failure is Disk or IOP or ?

Thank you to any one that may wish to respond.

Thanks
