I would think it's a Print Data Transform issue, not WCST.
What printer emulation did you chose?
While I do not see e478S in the Ibm list of supported from Toshiba
https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/information-printers-toshiba
There is a e450S and e500S
The web table doesn't copy paste well here..
But you should be able to use either of the PC5250 with host print transform
checked
Toshiba e-STUDIO 450S
Toshiba e-STUDIO 500S PCL6 emulation
N host based
hppcl5.pdt for PC5250
HPLJ4.PDT for PC5250
*LEXOPTRAT
*HP4
Y LPR
Y PJL
? SNMP
? IPP

Subject: AFP printing issues
Hello all,
Happy holidays! I've got a question I'd like to run by the group. We have
a situation where we have a standalone printer (a Toshiba e478s) and a
laptop attached to it by USB cable. The laptop has client access on it to
connect to the Power i. We set up a printer using the emulation program in
Client Access, which creates the device on the i. We attempted to print a
document to it that has AFP attributes on it because it prints barcodes, and
the writer immediately puts the spooled file on hold. Here's my
question......at this point is there a way to know if I should approach the
issue from a Print Data Transform angle on the definition of the writer in
Client Access, or should I come at it from the Workstation Customization
perspective? Is there anything in the info I've provided that would suggest
one way or the other? I'm trying to avoid having to just start changing
stuff and trying to print, and then changing something else and trying to
print, etc., until I stumble on a s olution.
As always, any info provided would be great. Thanks!
