Paul:

The yum install will grab all of the dependencies for what your installing.

The easiest way to install is from the ACS client. You can select what
you want and let it rip.

John,

Exactly what I was looking for.

When installing the packages, do they all need to be installed
individually, or is there an option to install multiples all at once?

How does one confirm the install and/or current status of Open Source

Can it only be viewed through ACS?
Is there anything from a 5250 green screen session?

From a green screen, you can use either QSH or QP2TERM. At their command
line, type

/QOpenSys/pkgs/bin/yum list installed

(You could also leave off the "installed" to show both installed and
available-but-not-yet-installed packages. They will be in separate sections
of the listing so you can differentiate.)
