Abstract
OSP-F8 recall commands like F9 but in opposite direction
Pre/Co-Requisite PTF / Fix List
REQ LICENSED PTF/FIX LEVEL
TYPE PROGRAM RELEASE NUMBER MIN/MAX OPTION
---- -------- --------- ------- ------- ------ NONE
APAR Error Description / Circumvention
-----------------------------------------------
From RFE 124253:
You can press F9 to recall previously entered commands for a
particular job. However, if you press F9 one too many times and go
past the command you want, you must either keep pressing F9 until
you loop through all commands entered or blank the command line and
start again.
CORRECTION FOR APAR SE72057 :
-----------------------------
You can now press the F8 key to retrieve commands in the opposite
direction from F9. F8 will return the command after the previously
returned command. If F8 is pressed without having previously
retrieved a command, the first command is returned.
This support works on UIM panels and menus that have F9 assigned to
retrieve commands and do not already have a function assigned for
the F8 key.
You can type the start of a command string followed by an asterisk
(*) on the command line and press F9 to retrieve the last command
that begins with the specified text. If F9 is pressed again, the
previous command that starts with the specified text is shown. If
F9 is pressed after the first matching command has been returned, or
there are no matching commands, matching is turned off and the most
recent command is returned.
This PTF can be applied immediate. The change will not be seen in
command lines that were already displayed before the PTF was
applied.
