Chad:

By far and away the best plan. First off, the size of the download will be
much smaller since the "all PTF groups" group will compress out multiple
copies of the same PTF.

So order the cumulative (SF99740 or SF99730) and also order the "All Groups"
(SF99741 or SF99731) on the same order.

You'll get everything needed without question. Put those into an image
catalog and let them rip.

Subject: Cume/Hiper/DB2/TR and other groups

Hello...

Is it recommended these days to just get all PTF groups into one image
catalog and load them all with one GO PTF option 8 as one package? I read
somewhere on an IBM page that doing it this way lets the system sort things
out for the simplest set of IPLs,etc...

I am prepping for an upgrade from an 8286-41A to a 9009-41A and am wanting
to get all groups updated and to the latest 7.3 TR group PTF in order to
make sure things are ready for migrating when the new box arrives...
