The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
Can I get you to do a quick test to see if the functionality changed? All
of my coworkers are swearing that it used to lock the entire file which was
what I thought happened.
Here is what I did.
I have a file with multiple members. I did a *EXCL on the file without
specifying a member. In another session, using DBU, I was not able to open
the *FIRST member but I was able to open a member that was not *FIRST. I
also found when doing a DSPFD, the *FIRST member did not show up in the
member list.
I'm curious what you find out if you are willing to spend a few minutes.
Thanks.

As far as I remember the options have been either *FIRST or "Name" (as in a
"name specified by you"). There is no *ALL .We have an old V5R3 system here
and it has those options.
