Hopefully, it doesn't slip out right past the DTAQ program. It's possible that the spool file could get sent to a printer in its' entirety before the HOLD took effect.

Has anyone mentioned DTAQ support for OUTQs? Once set up, an entry goes
on the DTAQ any time a spooled file goes to RDY status - a program could
use the Receive Data Queue (QRCVDTAQ) API and maybe put SPLFs on hold.

It is something you set on each OUTQ you want to watch.

There apparently is something that can be done by job using an
environment variable. At least, that seems to be what the IBM site is
saying.
